Six Nations Police are investigating after a 27-year-old man was shot on the driveway of a home on Cayuga Road Monday evening.

Police were called by paramedics around 5:18 p.m. Nov. 30 after a resident in the home called about hearing a gunshot. A 27-year-old man had been shot on the driveway. Police have not clarified the man's condition.

The suspect, a man, fled on foot before police arrived.

Late Monday, Six Nations Police said Ontario Provincial Police and the Brantford police canine unit were helping to look for the suspect.

Police said the victim and suspect are known to each other and there is no apparent danger to the public."

The public is asked to avoid Cayuga Road between 6th Line and 5th Line.
