The Buffalo Bills signed general manager Brandon Beane to a multi-year extension, the team announced Thursday.

Beane joined the Bills in 2017 and has built a roster that's produced three winning seasons. At 9-3, Buffalo is looking to win its first division title since 1995.

"Brandon is an outstanding leader, and he has brought a great level of stability throughout our organization," Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula said in a statement.

"One of the things we appreciate and respect about Brandon is that he is very thorough in his decision-making process. No decision he makes comes without a great deal of study and research."

In his first draft with the team in 2018, Beane entered with two first-round picks and used the seventh overall selection on franchise quarterback Josh Allen. Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds was selected with the 16th overall pick.

Among the contributors Buffalo selected in the two subsequent drafts are defensive tackle Ed Oliver, tackle Cody Ford, running backs Devin Singletary and Zack Moss, tight end Dawson Knox, defensive end A.J. Epenesa, wide receiver Gabriel Davis, and kicker Tyler Bass.

Beane also hit on his biggest offseason acquisition. The GM traded the team's first-round pick in this year's draft to the Minnesota Vikings for wideout Stefon Diggs. He formed an immediate rapport with Allen, as he's currently tied for the league lead in catches with 90 to go along with 1,037 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

"I really can't envision myself working with anybody else but Brandon moving forward," said head coach Sean McDermott, who also worked alongside Beane while with the Carolina Panthers from 2011-16.
