Changed ISP: and IPs and now both mail servers can't network

I have two Ubuntu Servers 18.04.5 LTS which serve as mail servers here. All was fine until I had to readdress them due to changing ISPs. Now THey cannot connect to anything like the repositories or each other and nothing can connect to them. All I have are the console sessions to fix this so I'll include screen captures for info such as ifconfig -all, /etc/netplan/50-cloud-init.yaml resolv.conf and /etc/network/interfaces which I'd prefer to use over the netplan but I can't even use apt-get to pull down the needed repository items. Both systems were working perfectly before the IP Address change now both are broken identically.
Screen captures for the above items off one of the two VMs are attached.
If I list the other host in the /etc/hosts file I'm able to ping.
This seems like an issue with DNS server settings. How do I get them to set-the yaml file was supposed to do that based on the syntax I followed. These were working prior to the IP changes.
Below are files that contained the old IP and may have been edited. In some cases, I just added the new IP or range to allow going back if something breaks this beyond repair. I also have a tar with all the relevant files that I can untar to use the old IP. Problem is that the old IP goes away at the end of December - not cost-effective to pay two high-speed network charges.
There is also an open question on Experts exchange which so far has not yielded a solution.
