Access the BIOS on an HP Chromebook 14 G5
by killingthemonkey from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5BR47)
I bought an HP Chromebook 14 G5 from a friend. I thought that installing Linux on it would be easy. I had one of the original CR-48's. It was easy...
I've used Chrome OS for a bit, but I'm starting to get tired of my info being vacu-sucked all the time. So, time to install a real Linux distro.
I can't figure out how to even access the BIOS on this thing to have it boot from USB, and my search-fu doesn't seem to be up to the task.
I have already put it in developer mode.
I have already set dev_boot_usb=1 and dev_boot_legacy=1.
Tried CTRL-U and CTRL-L at the OS protection screen. Still no BIOS.
I have attacked a text file of my chrome://system page.
If y'all have any other ideas, I would be grateful.
