Latest mesa update crashes with nouveau

Not sure if this is a mesa, a nouveau or a plasma bug.
When using mesa-20.3.1-x86_64-1.txz with nouveau and KDE plasma the system crashes after login (runlevel 4).
Lots of the following errors spamming syslog:
