Each week, we highlight the best NFL betting trends and angles to consider as you prepare for the weekend's action. Here are some notable trends ahead of Week 16.

Browns (-9, 46.5) at Jets, 1 p.m. ET

For weeks, we've been wondering if the Jets could win a game. Now that they have, will New York suffer during a letdown spot here? The trends suggest that's not likely. Since 2007, teams that don't record a win until the second half of the season are 11-3-1 against the spread the following week, even winning six games outright.

Pick: Jets +9

Bengals at Texans (-8, 46), 1 p.m.

A week after beating the Steelers on Monday night, the Bengals are in a favorable spot as massive underdogs. Cincinnati has gone 11-5-1 ATS in its last 16 as road 'dogs, while the Texans are 1-5 ATS in their last six games when giving eight-plus points.

Pick: Bengals +8

Broncos at Chargers (-3, 48.5), 4:05 p.m.

Bettors might be buying back in after the Chargers' Week 15 win, but is it worth laying the points? Los Angeles is 4-11-2 ATS in its last 17 games as a favorite, and the Chargers are a miserable 10-24-1 ATS as a home favorite dating back to 2014. Teams coming off an overtime Thursday night win are also 3-6 ATS over the last nine such contests.

Pick: Chargers -3

Panthers at Washington (-2.5, 44), 4:05 p.m.

When Teddy Bridgewater is an underdog, bettors ought to take notice. The Panthers quarterback is a career 23-7 ATS as an underdog, including 7-1 ATS over his last eight games. The Panthers are also a red-hot 6-1 ATS on the road with six straight covers.

Pick: Panthers +2.5
