Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson will play against the Dallas Cowboys after being activated from injured reserve, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Jackson has been on IR since October after suffering an ankle injury in Week 7.

The veteran appeared in four games this season, catching 13 passes for 155 yards. Jackson also played in just three games in 2019 due to injuries.

It will be the speedster's first action with Jalen Hurts, who took over the starting role from Carson Wentz in Week 14.

Despite going 2-5 in Jackson's absence, the Eagles still have a shot at winning the NFC East and clinching an unlikely playoff spot. FiveThirtyEight gives Philadelphia a 10% chance of making the postseason.

The Eagles need to win out to make the playoffs and play the division-leading Washington Football Team in the regular-season finale. They also need Washington to lose against the Carolina Panthers, and for the New York Giants and Cowboys to drop at least one game each (Dallas and New York face off in Week 17).
