Cowboys keep postseason hopes alive, eliminate Eagles
The Dallas Cowboys kept their playoff hopes alive while erasing the Philadelphia Eagles' postseason aspirations with a 37-17 victory Sunday.
The Washington Football Team's loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday coupled with Dallas' victory sets up an intriguing Week 17 slate that opens up the NFC East to multiple contenders.
So the Eagles are eliminated, meaning the NFC East will have a new champion for the 16th year in a row, and now in Week 17:

-If Washington beats the Eagles, Washington wins the NFC East.
-If the Eagles beat Washington, the Cowboys-Giants winner wins the NFC East.
Washington would clinch the NFC East with a win in Week 17 against the Eagles, but a loss would leave the division title to the winner of next Sunday's bout between the Cowboys and New York Giants.
The Cowboys remain the division's hottest team at the moment, while the Giants and Washington have stumbled down the stretch. Dallas heads into the season finale riding a three-game winning streak. The Giants, losers of three in a row, and Washington, in the midst of a two-game skid, will look to regain footing before the season comes to a close.
