Slackware Live: Create an USB with persistence in Windows without touching UEFI or Boot Menu
by sombragris from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5C5ZQ)
I would like to enable persistence in a Slackware Live USB in a Windows system. I am aware there are instructions posted by Eric on his blog, but I'm running into some problems.
EasyBCD has the "ISO" part greyed out even though Secure Boot is disabled.
Even more so, I would like to avoid altering the hosts' system, because it's loaned.
I was able to create a good USB Slackware Live with Rufus (using the ISO Method), but was not successful in creating persistence.
Does anyone know if I could make the USB persistent without disabling UEFI or altering the Windows Boot menu on my loaned system? Thanks in advance.
