Headless Desktop

What I try:
Install Xubuntu Desktop
Then use without Monitor and access the Desktop remotely, eg using VNC.
Problem:
When booting without Monitor (headless), there is no Desktop.
I tried xvfb
It works but I see only X.org, without Desktop.
Question:
How can I boot and have Desktop started for Remote-VNC when no Monitor is plugged?
