Package users and LFS 10?

Hi all,

I'm building LFS 10 after not having built LFS since version 7.6. Each time I've built it, I've used the Package Users package management system. However, I'm noticing a change from the prior versions of LFS that is tripping me up -- the temporary tools are not all in the /tools directory.

What used to be chapter 5 is now chapter 5 and 6, except that packages in chapter 6 are installed in the LFS root instead of /tools. What used to be chapter 6 is now chapter 7. The issue is that the packages installed in LFS 10 chapter 6 are installed without package users, but in their final directory. From what I can tell, all of them are rebuilt except for binutils and gcc.

I think I also need to build shadow at the end of chapter 6.

I think I can make a timestamp based log and change the ownership of the chapter 6 packages to the package user I'll use to rebuilt them in chapter 7, but that leaves binutils, gcc, and shadow owned by root.

Is anyone using the package users hint for LFS 10? If so, how do you work around the issues described above?
