Crackling artifacts on audio playback after kernel 5.10.3 upgrade
by sombragris from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5C843)
First of all, let me clarify that this issue is not identical to this one.
I am experiencing crackling issues on audio playback. While the system is not playing audio, there are no artifacts. However, upon playing any music, crackling artifacts are noticeable; as if I were playing old vinyl records (one more reason why I hate vinyls, but I digress...).
The issue is present even after the latest updates, even after Mon Dec 28 20:13:50 UTC 2020 or the one isued after it.
I am not at all proficient with sound. I am willing to help debugging and tracing the issue but I need some handholding. Thanks in advance!
