REQUEST: hide member status

Maybe you have discussed this already a dozen times, maybe it is in the making or maybe you can cut me short and end this thread with one single response.
But I have - somehow and while my landline was massacred by a storm - been promoted. I have nothing against the word senior", just against the potential allegations that the full expression might provoke. In all the time that I post on LQ, I frequently wondered if my posting might not be better posted to the Newbie-forum. My expectations are low, as is my potential to dig up hard and pertinent advice from the depth of my library.
It should be possible for a member to hide her/his user status.
