The ISOLINUX boot screen on a Slackware installation CD/DVD suggests the following boot command line to bring up an installed Linux system:

Code:In a pinch, you can boot your system from here with a command like:

boot: huge.s root=/dev/sda1 rdinit= ro

In the example above, /dev/sda1 is the / Linux partition. This doesn't seem to work as expected. In the referenced thread, we found that changing "rdinit= " to "initrd= " stopped the init ramdisk from loading, instead applying the "root=/dev/sda1" parameter during kernel boot-up. This did boot the system in question.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=e_V3Do6umvE:H6Zfo2_PhHM:F7zBnMy latest?i=e_V3Do6umvE:H6Zfo2_PhHM:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=e_V3Do6umvE:H6Zfo2_PhHM:gIN9vFwe_V3Do6umvE
