LFS Hangs At Boot (ACPI: Found 2 idle states)
by dptzippy from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5CA7P)
As the title says, I can't boot LFS. I am relatively new to this stuff, but I have also created LFS distros before (4-5 times, I think), and I understand a good bit. The latest problem I am having is when I boot the system. It launches GRUB menu, I can select my distro, and it starts booting like it should. However, it hangs after printing:
ACPI: \_SB_.PRO: Found 2 idle states
I have tried adding "acpi=off" to my boot commands, and I have deleted and remade my inittab, but to no avail. Does anybody know how to get past this issue? Thank you all, and God bless!
