I may have posted this before but a way that should be pretty easy, safe and cheap to put linux on your windows pc is to flash it onto a usb stick under windows...

There is software for this such as rufus and then get a simple on/off switch for your usb media. This way everything will be installed when you flash an image to the usb, then boot off the usb, may have to change boot order, but turn the usb off when you are powered down. You may need to use tape and paper to label the on off.

some distros such as puppy linux have the option to only load in ram.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=XBBWhTg0uGQ:Gf5IAgtCfrE:F7zBnMy latest?i=XBBWhTg0uGQ:Gf5IAgtCfrE:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=XBBWhTg0uGQ:Gf5IAgtCfrE:gIN9vFwXBBWhTg0uGQ
