System upgrade has introduced some gstreamer problems

A few days ago, I upgraded my slackware-current system in the hope that it would help resolve some issues I'm having with other games I'm trying to play in wine. One game that was working in wine, now does not anymore.
Wine is looking for Gstreamer libraries that don't exist. The thing is, I don't know if the root of this problem is if my system used to have these and no longer has them, or if the new version of wine is looking for libraries my system never had in the first place.
Furthermore, this recent screw-up of mine has me afraid of doing slackpkg, as I've already screwed-up my system once with it before.
