How to access a device when you know only the MAC address
by ebasi from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5CBEV)
Hi!
I have a device (which can be described as a raspberry device but not exactly). I wanted to switch it from a static IP address to a dynamic IP address received from the DHCP server. I logged in to the device and switched the mode and restarted it. From this moment I do not have access to the device. The device did not take the IP address I set in the dhcpd.conf. The only thing I know is the device MAC address. Can you tell me if it's possible to access the device somehow? It has ssh and web interface available for login.
