Looking for Automation advice
by yelirt5 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5CF6X)
I work in an organization that captures Clonezilla live images for delivery outside of our org. There are different Clonezilla images , on identical hardware, based on customer needs. The problem is that it's very tedious for us to configure our systems with these different images when a customer wants to come in and test. It involves 12 separate servers and a tech has to feed each one a Clonezilla-live CD. It takes hours.
I'm wondering if anyone could suggest a method that we could possibly automate this process?
I've looked at Ansible but it doesn't seem to fit the bill as the systems have to be re-configured with our deliverable media (part of our testing regime). I'm considering a PXE boot environment. But can that be configured to load already captured Clonezilla-live images? I'm also considering Clonezilla server.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.
Thanking you in advance.
