There's optimism that Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans could play in Saturday's wild-card game against the Washington Football Team, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Evans is considered day-to-day with a hyperextended knee, and his MRI came back relatively clean while showing no structural damage. Head coach Bruce Arians told reporters postgame on Sunday that he doesn't believe the injury is serious.

The three-time Pro Bowler wouldn't have practiced Tuesday had the team held an official session, according to Rapoport, and his status for this weekend's matchup has yet to be determined.

Evans suffered the injury when he slipped on the turf in the Atlanta Falcons' end zone during a Week 17 contest. It came just one play after he produced 1,000-plus receiving yards for the seventh straight campaign, surpassing Randy Moss' record.

Tampa Bay earned the NFC's No. 5 seed and is riding a four-game win streak.
