Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is set to be a game-time decision for Saturday's wild-card contest against the Washington Football Team due to a knee injury, head coach Bruce Arians said Thursday, according to Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times.

"I think he's got a chance (to play)," said Arians.

The head coach added: "If (Mike) goes out there, he's healthy. We're not putting him out there limping on one leg. If he's playing, he's good to go."

The star pass-catcher suffered the injury during Tampa Bay's regular-season finale win over the Atlanta Falcons.

While Evans avoided the major injury that was first feared when he exited the game, the Bucs could be wary of rushing his return as they eye a deep playoff run. Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, and Rob Gronkowski would lead the passing attack if the veteran is forced to miss the first round of the playoffs.

Evans returned to practice Thursday after sitting out the prior day's session.

The 27-year-old set an NFL record this season by racking up a seventh straight 1,000-yard campaign to begin his career.
