Installation of Fujitsu Scansnap 1100 - how to get driver
by genette from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5CHJ4)
Hello,
I appreciate any help you can give me. I just got set up with Linux mint 20 xfce 64 bit. I'm trying to install my Fujitsu Scansnap 1100. I'm getting in a loop that goes like this:
- I have the scansnap usb in and the SS door open, so ready to scan light is on
- I open Graphics/Document Scanner
- It searches for a scanner
- Says you need to install driver; says it appears you have an HP scanner (it is actually a Fujitsu). Still, I continue
- P/W authentication for driver is entered
- says Driver installed successfully
- says Once installed you will need to restart app (I restart computer)
- I update the driver manager - it does a "cache" thing and says my computer does not need additonal dirvers.
- I restart the computer and this cycle begins again...
Thank you,
Genette
