Setting Ubuntu core IPv4 on install - IP is not contained in Mask/CIDR
by mmcc0912 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5CK25)
New to Ubuntu, using 20.4-1 amd64 installer. I'm trying to find information about this but I'm having a difficult time so posting a thread.
When going through the install, it doesn't like the mask for the IP and I can't find why. Plenty of post install but not a lot for during install. Right now I'm letting it install then changing the .yaml file to get a node online. I don't understand why it wants a CIDR on subnet mask or why it doesn't like the manual entries.
I've been on the RHEL/OEL/CentOS lines in my days so was hoping some Ubuntu folks had experiences. I can move forward but it would be nice to hear why CIDR on mask is required and if I'm able to in the future be able to apply a configuration during install.
Thank you in advance.
