Can't Find Network Problem

Since this is a place for Linux, let me say I run CentOS 6, CentOS 7, and CentOS 8, along with Windows 7, Windows 10, ArcaOS 5 (OS/2) for my desktops.
My environment is basically a large home network. When we had the house built (09/1996) we had CAT5e ethernet wiring routed from a single location to 5 locations throughout the house. Later we realized that we needed wireless to our 4 bedrooms (06/2019). Everything was working exactly as it should until the cable modem and router I had failed due to lightening strike.
When I contacted the cable company to take of the modem I was informed that the modem I had was out-of-date and would be replaced with a new model, xFinity X1 modem. And I purchased a NightHawk 7000P wired and wireless router. The ethernet from the router is plugged into a Linksys 24-port unmanaged switch. All of the 5 'remote' locations around the house plus the 3 computers in my office are connected to the switch (plus 3 HP multi-function printers). Initially everything was working correctly.
Due to a severe illness (covid) I have not been using my computers for about 4 months and from the report from my neighbors we have had 2 power failures in my neighborhood. Now only the wireless (from the router) is working.
How can I test if the ethernet ports on the router is working?
How can I test if the unmanaged switch has failed
BTW, the power failure lasted long enough for the UPS to die.
