Mitchell Trubisky will need to make some serious noise in the playoffs if he's to keep his job.

The Chicago Bears "are not set" on re-signing the quarterback, with the possibility the team changes its mind if Trubisky leads a postseason run, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Chicago is set to take on the No. 2 seed New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Trubisky will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason after the NFC North club opted not to pick up his fifth-year option.

The No. 2 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft regained his starting job in Week 12 after being benched midway through the year for Nick Foles.

Trubisky helped lead the 8-8 Bears to three wins over their last six games to claim the NFC's final wild-card spot.

However, he struggled in the regular-season finale loss to the Green Bay Packers, with Chicago making the playoffs with help from the Los Angeles Rams, who beat the Arizona Cardinals.
