Confused about logrotate 'rotate' command. Would 'monthly' 'rotate 1' be the same as 'daily' 'rotate 30' ?

Hi.
I'm a bit confused about how logrotate works in regards to the 'rotate' command.
If i set logrotate to 'monthly' and 'rotate 1', assuming a 30 day month, would it be the same result as setting to 'daily' and 'rotate 30' ?
