Staff member at a west Mountain high school tests positive for COVID-19

A staff member at a high school on Hamilton's west Mountain has tested positive for COVID-19.

Hamilton public health notified the board of the positive case at Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School on Friday, the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board said in a Jan. 15 statement.

The school will contact any students or staff identified as close contacts," the statement reads.

In an email to The Spectator, the board's spokesperson said that there is no closures for Sir Allan MacNab as a result of the COVID-19 case associated with the school."
