Debian IPsec VPN Server Routing issue
by Poschim from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5D0A7)
Hello everyone,
I am trying to setup a Debian 10 VPN server on a virtual server, but did not get successful. I studied several tutorials and forums without getting the full setup running.
My goal is to run a Fritzbox-Router on my LAN that is VPN-Client and uses a Strongswan IKEv1 IPsec PSK connection to provide internet access on a different location to the clients behind the Fritzbox (see picture 1). The Fritzbox does only suppot IKEv1 and PSK.

As I did not succeeded with the set-up, I thought to make a step down, skip the Fritzbox for the moment and set-up the VPN-client directly on my notebook (see picture 2). Unfortunately, I do not get it working also.
So, I hope to get the missing hint from the more experienced users here at the forum.
