Questions about hardware and vendors

Currently running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on an aging desktop computer (Optiplex 390). I am considering getting a new computer. I would welcome suggestions for computers that run well under a current Linux distribution and/or warnings about ones that do not. Also welcome are tips about vendors who sell computers with Linux preinstalled.
