efivar regression means elilo can not be installed on eMMC.

Hi - I've actually written about this (repeatedly) every couple of months in the slackware-current updates thread, but we're going on 14 months now, and for some reason, my requests for efivar to be updated seem to be being ignored for one reason or another.
I'm assuming it's just an oversight, as this regression is painful for those dealing with mini PCs (particular Apollo Lake/Gemini Lake mini PCs) with embedded eMMC.
If somebody with the ability to influence the packages can just run the included ./fetch-efivar.sh in source/a/efivar and upgrade efivar, I would be hugely appreciative.
Sorry about creating a thread - but I'm at a loss how to raise attention to this any more and am frustrated that it is taking so long.
