(Slackware 14.2) Slackpkg does not have python 3 available?
by trb_719 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5D8KM)
Hi guys, i just came from Ubuntu and i am trying to get get deeper in Linux world, so i installed Slackware 14.2. I'm from Brazil and selected the respective mirror for my country. When i do "slackpkg search python", the only options available are python 2.7 or under. I know it's possible to install the most recent package manually, but i am surprise to see such important package so out of date (the current version of python is 3.8 while i am writing this). Is this normal for all mirrors in Slackware?
