gparted 1.2.0 cannot read the info of an exfat partition

Current64: gparted 1.2.0 as upgraded on Tue Jan 26 cannot read the info of an exfat partition -- even of the partition it just created. It claims missing software such as exfatprogs. I do have exfatprogs installed. And I can create and read back files on an exfat partition.
