A man suspected of arson for setting two fires 45 minutes apart outside downtown buildings Sunday has been arrested by police.
The first fire, at 5:30 a.m., was next to a parking lot fence on Augusta Street near the site of the former Winking Judge tavern; the second, at 6:15 a.m., was a five-minute walk away outside a residential building at 122 Charles Street.
Hamilton Police said fire fighters responded to the calls and were able to keep any damage to a minimum, and that police officers continue to investigate the incidents.
