missing sdb partition
by nselx from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5DRJ9)
Thanks for letting me in.
I am running Linux MInt 20 on my system and Centos on virtual box 6. The laptop is hp with UFEI option. I have tried lsblk and also ls -l | grep '^Disk' also fdisk /dev/sdb but sdb still missing : there is no such file or directory. The LM20 being inistalled now for some weeks and working perfectly. All packages are updated. This is annoying since I try to mount and do partioning on the system and there is no way to do so without having sdb installed. Spent some hours to fix but no outcome.
Here is the output of:
#ls -l | grep '^Disk'
Disk /dev/sda: 931,53 GiB, 1000204886016 bytes, 1953525168 sectors
Disk model: xxxxx
Disklabel type: gpt
Disk identifier: 7FE95406-5E45-xxxxx
