Lawrence to throw for NFL teams in February before left shoulder surgery
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the projected first overall pick in this year's draft, will throw for NFL teams Feb. 12 instead of participating in Clemson's pro day in March, his agents said, according to Nick Shook of NFL.com.
Lawrence's decision stems from a recently discovered injury to his left shoulder labrum, which will be repaired after his presentation to NFL clubs. The signal-caller's doctors are confident that he'll be fully healthy when training camp begins.
The 21-year-old completed 66.6% of his pass attempts while throwing for 10,098 yards and 90 touchdowns against 17 interceptions over three seasons at Clemson.
The Jacksonville Jaguars own the first overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft.
