Downloading -current to burn installation DVD
by rshepard from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5DZVR)
I'm building a new desktop server/workstation and it has hardware not supported by -14.2; at least the Radeon Pro WX4100 video card isn't. My business also needs to run software versions that aren't supported by -14.2; one example is obs-studio where the window capture (Xcomposite) is black and wasn't fixed until the current version 26.1.1.
I need to wire up the new host and want to download -current and burn a DVD so I can install it on the new hardware. I've not before run torrent (if that's the way to go); SBo has some and one may do what I need. I can download the necessary files on this host and burn the DVD on it.
What is the best approach to download the distribution that will run on the new hardware?
Thanks in advance,
Rich
