How to figure out supported WiFi drivers on Slackware?
by mfoley from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5E02C)
I am trying to figure out if Slackware 14.2 supports particular WiFi USB devices without having to buy successive device and test them in turn. The computer store is likely to get irritated with this technique.
For example, I've determined that Slackware 14.2 does not support RALINK device 148f:761a (Linux supports it in a much more recent kernel, not 14.2's 4.4.xxx).
I've now purchased a TP-Link AC1300 T3U USB wifi, RealTek device: 2357:012d. Is there a way to tell if Slackware 14.2 supports this device?
