Dolphin Extension or Add-on
by Knine from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5E51C)
Garuda Linux is a relatively new distribution from Indonesia. They have a few varieties. On their "Dragonized" Kde edition, they have done something unique to the Dolphin file manager that I have never seen before and to date, I have installed, played with and broken over 300 distros. When you hover your mouse over a jpeg thumbnail in the file browser, you get a pop up a little bigger than the thumbnail that you can see better and also you get a text dialogue with the Exif information. I have looked into the software manager to see if there was an extension there that they might have added. I did a "pacman -Si dolphin and compared that with the output from their Multimedia edition, that does not do this pop up, and could see no differences in the extensions. I went into the "configure dolphin" and looked through services and could see no differences. I really like this and would like to add it to my other machines. I put the question in their forums and did not receive and answer. I did an internet search and found no answers to the questions I could think to ask. Does anyone know how to make dolphin do this? What do I need to add or configure. I think this is a tough one to answer, that is why I came here.
