Samsung T7 external SSD - is it possible to install on and boot from?

Hi. I need to install linux (Manjaro) on an external drive and boot from it. I could go for a safe and conventional option I suppose but Samsung T7 looks very appealing in terms of speed and price.

My concern is, it has a fingerprint reading safety feature and I was wondering if I'd have trouble partitioning or installing on this drive. Has anyone ever tried anything similar with this model?

There's a similar thread about T7 in this forum but it's not very clear.
