Focal Fossa upgrade -> no dns
by Go4Linux from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5EENQ)
Hi, I upgraded from Bionic to Focal and DNS no longer works (can't access websites or apt-get update).
Internet works:
Code:dig @192.168.1.1 linuxquestions.orgCode:dig @8.8.8.8 linuxquestions.orgCode:resolvectl query linuxquestions.orgThese (and pings) return proper results.
Code:systemd-resolve --statusReturns:
Global
LLMNR settings: no
MulticastDNS setting: no
DNSOverTLS setting: no
DNSSEC setting: no
DNSSEC supported: no
Current DNS Server: 127.0.0.1
DNS Servers: 127.0.0.1
Link 3 (wlp3s0)
Current Scopes: DNS
DefaultRoute setting: yes
LLMNR setting: yes
MulticastDNS setting: no
DNSOverTLS setting: no
DNSSEC setting: no
DNSSEC supported: no
Current DNS Server: 192.168.1.1
DNS Servers: 192.168.1.1
DNS Domain: ~.
Any advice on how to troubleshoot/fix? Thanks!
ETA: TOR Browser works (I guess it uses direct IP addresses?).
