how to identify operating system device / partition
by jan128 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5EGS7)
I can enter "c" in grub menu and get into grub, this command gets me lots of info
grub > set
Seems the selected OS /dev/ is identified (hdx , gtpx ) , but I am not sure.
Is there a way to access "grub" and do "set" AFTER the system is running ?
I like to at least get a print of the "set" output.
However . if there is another way to identify on which HDD / partition current OS is running, something like uname , I like to hear about that.
Thanks.
