Is there a reliable CD audio ripping solution for Linux?
by FrizzledOldButt from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5ER4J)
I have several hundred CD Audio discs I'd like to rip to flac files, but having a tough time finding a consistently reliable ripping option for Linux.
I have tried
Rhythmbox
Goobox
VLC
abcde
All work once or twice then stop reading the next disc inserted into the drive. This is on three PCs, running Ubuntu or Mint.
Currently I'm finding the only consistently reliable solution is to boot into Windows and use one of the many options available on it.
Any suggestions whatelse I might try on Linux to get a better outcome?
Thanks
