hugepage RAM?

It's nice that Slackware-current automatically lets you use RAM hugepages. However, I tried setup of software using those on Slackware-stable... and from what I used (xmr-stak-rx instructions and hugepage documentation at kernel.org and Debian, but there doesn't seem to be much other documentation) it's not completely working. Has anyone setup Slackware-stable hugepages, and if so, could you possibly summarize how you got it working, for both 2MB and 1GB hugepages simultaneously?
