Alectra Utility reported a power failure on Hamilton's west Mountain Monday morning.
The lights went out for just over 500 Alectra customers around 9 a.m. Monday in the area of Garth Street to West 5th Street and between Fennell Avenue and Sanatorium Road.
The area includes Mohawk College and Hillfield Strathallen College.
The power company said the cause of the outage was an underground distribution issue. Crews were dispatched and estimated the power to return around 11 a.m.
In a tweet, at 10:14 a.m., the utility reported the power had been restored to customers.
