Hamilton siblings host new HGTV show
A pair of Hamilton siblings are hosting HGTV Canada's newest show.
The series, called Farmhouse Facelift," premieres Wednesday and follows brother-sister duo Carolyn Wilbrink and Billy Pearson as they transform decrepit farmhouses into stunning homes. Wilbrink, an experienced interior designer, and Pearson, a carpentry and construction expert, team up each episode to tackle fixer-upper farmhouses across southern Ontario.
Pearson and Wilbrink were born and raised in Waterdown and still live in Hamilton. The two grew up on a family farm themselves, learning firsthand how to restore and reclaim the charm of heritage homes," according to HGTV Canada's official website.
In the series, Carolyn's stunning designs and Billy's custom craftsmanship tackle the toughest farmhouse renovations, bringing stunning designs and customized modern conveniences to each new project," reads the website's official description of the show. Many of the homes featured in the show are quite old, including one farmhouse built in 1870. Each episode, Pearson and Wilbrink aim to rejuvenate these homes while preserving their rustic charm.
Wilbrink boasts more than 13 years of interior decorating experience. She has worked on a wide swath of interior decorating projects ranging from redesigns to large-scale renovation projects. Pearson has worked in the construction field for 16 years, and currently identifies as a craftsman contractor."
Farmhouse Facelift" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on HGTV Canada and StackTV.
