Strange Plasma Menu "Favorites" Issue Mageia 7
by frankbell from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5EZ0B)
I have strange issue with the Plasma menu on Mageia v. 7. There's a "ghost" item in the favorites for Firefox, in addition to the active functioning Firefox icon. (I haven't noticed it before because I mostly use Fluxbox.)
It's icon is blank. When I right-click on it, the option to remove it does not appear, as it normally would for a "Favorite." When I select "Edit," the edit dialog points to a version of Firefox that does not exist on my system. When I right-click on the menu icon and select "Edit Applications," I cannot edit it, as it does not seem to exist in the menu and "Favorites" are not included in the edit routine.
You can see a screenshot here (I edited the screenshot in Kolourpaint to show both the menu and the edit dialog): http://pineviewfarm.net/wp-content/u...lasma_menu.jpg
I poked about in the hidden files to try to find the Plasma menu but quickly became frustrated.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can make this go away?
