Jaguars place franchise tag on Cam Robinson
The Jacksonville Jaguars placed their franchise tag on left tackle Cam Robinson, the team announced Tuesday.
The franchise tag for offensive tackles is expected to be between $13.5 million and $14 million, depending on the final 2021 cap number.
Jacksonville selected Robinson in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He started 15 games as a rookie before missing most of the 2018 campaign with a torn ACL.
The 25-year-old bounced back from the knee injury, starting 30 games over the past two years.
However, Robinson's play has been erratic. He was rated 84th among offensive tackles in 2020 by PFF, allowing five sacks and 29 total pressures.
The Jaguars are likely motivated to keep their offensive line intact ahead of their widely expected decision to draft Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence No. 1 overall in April.
