Report: Broncos, Darby agree to 3-year, $30M pact
The Denver Broncos and cornerback Ronald Darby have agreed to a three-year deal worth $30 million, containing $19.5 million guaranteed, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Darby spent the 2020 campaign with the Washington Football Team after three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. The veteran started 16 games for the first time in his career.
The 27-year-old, who had 55 total tackles and 15 pass defenses last season, was rated as PFF's 18th-best cornerback.
The Broncos released A.J. Bouye in February, which arguably made cornerback their biggest need on defense. Darby should start alongside Bryce Callahan.
Darby, the Buffalo Bills' former second-round pick, has eight career interceptions and 81 passes defensed in 73 games.
