Report: Patriots keep spending, agree to deals with Agholor, Bourne
The New England Patriots' early free-agent spending spree continues.
The Patriots have agreed to terms with wide receiver Nelson Agholor, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The former Las Vegas Raiders pass-catcher will receive a two-year deal worth $26 million, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN.
New England is also signing former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne to a three-year contract worth $22.5 million, Rapoport reports.
Agholor revitalized his career during the wideout's lone year in Las Vegas following five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. The veteran finished 2020 with a career-high 896 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging the second-most yards per catch in the league (18.7)
Bourne, meanwhile, posted career highs with 49 receptions and 667 yards this past campaign. The 25-year-old also scored two touchdowns.
The Patriots are aggressively retooling their roster during the NFL's early negotiating window after the club's first season missing the playoffs since 2008.
The AFC East squad has reportedly also agreed to deals with pass-rushers Matt Judon and Deatrich Wise, tight end Jonnu Smith, defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, and defensive back Jalen Mills.
