The Los Angeles Rams have re-signed pass-rusher Leonard Floyd to a four-year deal, the team announced Monday.

The contract is worth $64 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The New York Giants were making a late push to acquire Floyd, according to ESPN's Dianna Russini.

Floyd's annual average of $16 million slots in just below the likes of fellow pass-rushers Chandler Jones ($16.5 million) and Dee Ford ($17.1 million).

He's coming off the most productive season of his five-year career, recording a career-high 10.5 sacks and 11 tackles for a loss after signing with the Rams on a one-year, $10-million contract. The defender also registered 19 quarterback hits and 55 total tackles.

The Rams entered the day needing to clear over $37 million in cap space. They need to be in the black by the time the new league year begins on Wednesday.
